Covenhoven

​It’s pretty safe to say that Joel Van Horne, who goes by the moniker Covenhoven, has never been to Taos, but he isn’t quite sure. The thing is, I was. Because, as I explained to the avant-garde musician who has a new album out, Taos leaves an impression on you.

“If you’ve been to Taos,” I explained with the Colorado-based musician, “you’d remember.”

So it’s fair to say when Covenhoven rolls into town to perform at Barra Vino, the cozy little wine bar with soft lighting on Ledoux Street, it will be his first visit.
